Seafarms, based in Queensland, farm both Australian Black Tiger Prawns and Australian Banana Prawns, sold under the Crystal Bay Prawns® brand.

Crystal Bay Prawns® are proud to be four-star BAP certified, meaning customers of Crystal Bay Prawns® can enjoy these delicious prawns, knowing that they have been safely and sustainably grown to the highest international standards.

In total Seafarms have 139 ponds covering 150 hectares, at Cardwell, Queensland, the farms are dedicated to Crystal Bay Prawns® producing fresh prawns from August to December; at Ingham, Queensland their Tiger Prawn farm produces fresh prawns from February to June. At peak production they have the capacity to produce 1,800 tonnes of prawns a year. It takes approximately 140 days for the prawns to grow to harvest size; once they’re ready they are harvested on demand, with the Crystal Bay team aiming to quality check, cook and pack within two hours.

The perfect go-to prawn, Crystal Bay Prawns® are naturally lighter in colour, famously pink with a fine texture and sweet taste.
