A perfect snack that’s light and easy – the kids will love it!

Makes 5

INGREDIENTS

  • 5 slices brioche bread
  • 350g peeled raw prawns shrimp
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp salt-reduced soy sauce
  • ¼ tsp ginger powder
  • ¼ tsp white pepper powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp chopped chives
  • ¼ cup white sesame seeds
  • Oil spray

TO SERVE

Sliced spring onion, optional

METHOD

Trim crusts off the brioche bread (*see note below).

Blend prawns into a rough paste. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

Spread each slice with paste, pressing down the mixture into the bread with a fork to help it stick. Dip the bread paste-side down in sesame seeds spread on a small plate.

Preheat air-fryer to 180C for 2 minutes. Spray the sesame-dipped side with oil spray. Place 1-3 toasts in the drawer and cook for 5-6 mins.

Garnish with sliced spring onion, if using, to serve.

*Notes: Keep the brioche crusts in a ziplock bag in the freezer and use in our salmon burgers instead of regular bread, add to rissoles or make mini bread and butter puddings.
